Step 1: Choose a Dish Location
The dish needs an unobstructed view of the sky in the direction of the satellite, which for most providers in the Northern Hemisphere means facing south. Avoid locations blocked by trees, buildings, or other structures. Many satellite providers offer online tools or provide installation technicians who use signal meters to find the optimal spot.
Step 2: Mount the Dish
Attach the dish to a stable surface such as a roof, wall, or pole using the mounting bracket included with your kit. Make sure the mount is secure and level, since even small misalignments can prevent the dish from receiving a signal.
Step 3: Aim the Dish
Using the azimuth and elevation settings provided by your satellite provider for your specific location, adjust the dish angle. Many receivers include an on-screen signal strength meter that helps you fine-tune the aim until you achieve the strongest possible signal.
Step 4: Connect the Receiver
