LG TVs running webOS include a built-in factory reset option that clears all personalized settings and returns the TV to its original out-of-box state. This is commonly used to resolve software glitches or to prepare a TV for resale.

Step 1: Access the Settings Menu

Press the Home button on your LG Magic Remote or standard remote, then select the Settings gear icon from the top-right of the home screen.

Step 2: Open General Settings

Choose General, then scroll down the list of options until you find Reset to Initial Settings. On some webOS versions this may be labeled System > Reset to Initial Settings instead.

Step 3: Confirm Your Choice

A confirmation prompt will appear, warning that all customized settings, saved accounts, and connected apps will be removed. Select OK or Reset to proceed.

Step 4: Allow the TV to Restart
